Though I have to think of myself as a fairly seasoned traveler, this trip has made me feel like it is my first time away from home. For example, I almost tried to leave on a passport that that was set to expire, and had to spend $305 to expedite an expedited passport. What a rookie mistake, and one that I always warn people about.
Those of you who know me will laugh at this--I am almost completely packed, days before I am set to leave. Normally I pack minutes before I leave. I have packed and repacked, changed bags, worried about what to wear and bring, and, GASP, even made about eight lists so that I don't forget anything. This from person who has traveled and actually forget his luggage, and who always always forgets things, from toothbrushes to cameras to underwear. What is wrong with me? (-:
I think in part it is because I am so excited to just go. I think to go anywhere but especially Europe. It has been a long time, and I do honestly love Prague. It is a wonderful city and it has great memories, and it is constantly changing. I am anxious to travel with a friend to this fun place--his wife got to go to Italy, but I think he won by getting to go to Prague. It will be fun to see it with new eyes, and to have new experiences. I also am excited, and here is the camera geek in me, because I get to take pictures for a week. Weird, I know, but fun for me.
Wednesday is a travel day, but I will write on Thursday, probably pretty late.
Please comment when you can and please, laugh and travel with me on this...

Frankly, I think his wife got the better deal ... Italy was awesome. Tho' the weather looks to be the same in Prague in March as it did in Italy in October. But March in Europe, baby, is better than any snowy, rainy, yucky day at home. Have a great trip!
